THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M. SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION No.9669 OF 2018 ORDER:

This petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short 'Code') to quash the Crime/FIR No.80 of 2018 on the file of the Robertsonpet Police Station, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, registered for the offence punishable under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short 'IPC').

2. Sri P. Nagendra Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioners, after arguing the matter for sometime, requested this Court to direct the Court below to follow the guidelines formulated by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma v. State of U.P.1

3. Acceding to the request of the learned counsel for the petitioners, without touching the merits, I find that it is a fit case to issue direction to the Court concerned to follow the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma1. Accordingly, Court concerned is directed to adhere to the guidelines issued in Rajesh Sharma1.

4. With the above direction, the present Criminal Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
