Toddy Tappers Cooperative Society v. The Government Of Andhra Pradesh
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.31325 OF 2012 DATED: 01.06.2015 Between:
Toddy Tappers Cooperative Society Bhiknoor Village & Mandal, Nizamabad District, Rep. by its President Mr. Lingala Ganga Goud .. Petitioner And The Government of Andhra Pradesh, Rep. by its Prl. Secretary, Revenue (Excise-II) Department, and others.
.. Respondents THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.31325 of 2012 ORDER:
This writ petition was filed by the petitioner society assailing the action of the respondent authorities in not renewing its licences owing to the pendency of a criminal case.
It is not in dispute that the petitioner society was granted five licences and only one such licence was subjected to cancellation. However, as the other licences were not being considered for renewal, the petitioner society approached this Court.
By interim order dated 10.10.2012, this Court directed the respondent authorities to consider the renewal of licences of the petitioner society excepting licence No.E4/23/2007. This was the licence which was subjected to cancellation. The present writ petition is not concerned with the validity of the cancellation of the said licence and only pertains to the other four licences which were refused renewal. It is now stated by Sri T. Amarnath Goud, learned counsel for the petitioner society, that pursuant to the interim order dated 10.10.2012, the respondent authorities granted renewal of the other licences and that the society is still operating the shops covered by the said licences.
In view of the afore-stated facts, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition.
The writ petition is accordingly closed.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
