HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO WRIT PETITION No.25254 OF 2010 ORDER:

The petitioners seek writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents in deducting the crop insurance premium from the crop loans of the petitioners at the rate of 1% to 12% towards crop insurance premium for the Kharif and Rabi seasons for the years 2010-2011 as illegal and arbitrary and declare the same as optional but not compulsory.

2.

When the matter is called, learned counsel for petitioners submits that the subject matter in the writ petition has become infructuous since the relief sought for in the present writ petition is pertaining to the crop period for the years 2010-2011, which was over long back. 3.

Recording the said submission, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
