HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.6237 OF 2013 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, petitioners/A5 to A7 seek to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.53 of 2013 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate, Nandyal, Kurnool District, registered for the offence under Sections 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor produced the letter dated 29.06.2018 of Sub-Inspector of Police, Nandyal Taluq Police Station, Kurnool District and submitted that the case has been compromised before Lok Adalat on 06.12.2014 and therefore, the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.53 of 2013 has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as Infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
