HONOURABLE MR. JUSTI CE V.RAMASUBRAMANI AN And WRI T PETI TI ON No.26607 of 2017 ORDER: (Per VRS,J) The limited grievance with which the petitioner has come up with the above writ petition is that her representation for transfer from Guntur Medical College to Andhra Medical College for pursuing the same course of study, viz., M.D (Dermatology) has not been considered.

2. Heard Mr. K.G. Krishna Murthy, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Vivek Chandra Sekhar, learned counsel appearing for the Medical Council of India, Mr. Taddi Nageswara Rao, learned counsel appearing for the University.

3. The petitioner has already made a representation on 20.06.2017 to the Medical Council of India as well as the Registrar of the University seeking a transfer on the grounds (1) that there is a vacancy in Andhra Medical College in Visakhapatnam in the same course; and (2) that due to personal reasons she had to be transferred.

4. It appears that the petitioner's mother, who was also a Doctor, died on 04.01.2016 due to Cancer after prolonged illness. The petitioner's father seems to have undergone angioplasty. Therefore, the petitioner has made a request.

5. However, the request is opposed on the ground that the Medical Counsel of India Regulations do not permit migration or transfer. We do not know whether the prohibition under the Regulations would apply even to the cases of this nature.

6. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of without expressing any opinion on merits, directing the Vice-Chancellor of the 2nd respondent-University to consider the representation dated 20.06.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. _______________________ V.RAMASUBRAMANI AN, J.
