Mr. Sugali Rekhe Naik, v. The Union Of India, Rep. By Its Secretary,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO W.P.No.7770 of 2015 O R D E R:
The petitioner, who was employed as a Development Officer with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (for short, 'the Corporation'), the 3rd respondent herein, has been terminated from service as he failed to satisfactorily accomplish the targets fixed by the Corporation.
The claim of the petitioner as of now is that against the orders of termination of employment, a Review Petition has been submitted by him to the Chairman of the Corporation on 02-01-2014. Though fifteen months' time has already elapsed, the said Review Petition has not been taken up for disposal on merits so far. Hence, this writ petition.
Heard Ms. S. Sravana Sandhya, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Battula Rajkiran, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation.
Instead of keeping this writ petition pending in this Court, the ends of justice would be adequately served if the Chairman of the Corporation, to whom the writ petitioner allegedly submitted the Review Petition on 02-01-2014, is directed to deal with it as expeditiously as is possible, preferably within a maximum period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and dispose it of on merits.
With this, the writ petition stands disposed of at the admission stage, but without costs.
Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, stand disposed of.
