THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO CONTEMPT CASE No.1052 of 2016 ORDER:

This Contempt Case was filed alleging nonimplementation of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.26868/2015 dated 25.08.2015.

In the said writ petition, this Court passed an order directing the respondents therein to convene the meeting of the DPC within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and pass final orders with regard to appointment of the petitioner to the post of Principal of respondent No.4 college in the said meeting, without going into merits of the case.

It appears that after disposal of the said writ petition, the petitioner herself filed W.P.No.36009/2015, wherein an order of status quo was passed by this Court. In view of the conflicting orders, the authorities could not take action. When the said W.P.No.36009/2015 came up along with W.P.No.20431/2016, the matter was considered by this Court and both the writ petitions were disposed of by a common order dated 24.08.2016 and the order in W.P.No.26868/2015 dated 25.08.2015 was also considered therein. Ultimately, this Court disposed of W.P.No.36009/2015, filed by the petitioner herein, and W.P.No.20431/2016 and passed an order as follows:

ARLR, J CC. No1052 of 2016 "In the circumstances, the Secretary and Correspondent of the College is directed to take further steps pursuant to the communication received from the Commissioner of College Education dt. 13.05.2016 and conduct a DPC for consideration of the cases of eligible candidates for filling up of the post of Principal. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The interim arrangement made for the post of Principal, shall continue till a regular Principal is appointed, in accordance with law."

In view of the said order dated 24.08.2016, nothing survives for consideration in the present Contempt Case, and accordingly, this Contempt Case is closed. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
