THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.4390 of 2016 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner-accused No.4 seeking to quash the proceedings against her in Crime No.113 of 2015 on the file of the Women Police Station, Kurnool. Heard and perused the material available on record. The petitioner is alleged to have committed the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 342, 323 and 307 r/w.34 IPC. The de facto complainant is the wife of A1. The petitioner is the sister of A. The allegation against the petitioner is that she along with A1 and other accused harassed the de facto complainant physically and mentally demanding additional dowry and tried to kill her. The truth or otherwise of the allegations against the petitioner can be decided during the enquiry of the case. Hence, this Court is not inclined to quash the proceedings against the petitioner in the above crime. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
