ORAL ORDER:
This writ petition is filed praying to grant the following relief: "........to issue an order or direction or writ more appropriately a writ of mandamus to declare the action of the Respondents herein in not considering the application dated 31072018 and further application dated 18.08.2018 filed by the Petitioner for grant of maternity leave for a period of twenty six weeks as per Section 53 of the Maternity Benefit Act 1961 as amended under Amendment Act 6 of 2017 as illegal and further direct the respondents herein to sanction the maternity leave to the petitioner for a period twenty six weeks as per Section 53 of the Maternity Benefit Act 1961 as amended under Amendment Act 6 of 2017 on the application made by the Petitioner on 31.07.2018 and further application dated 18.08.2018 with full pay forthwith and to pass...."

When the matter is taken up, learned standing counsel for respondents 2 to 4, on instructions, informs the Court that Principal of Residential School where petitioner is working has already sanctioned the leave and appropriate proceedings will be issued within couple of days.
