THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRL.P.M.P.No.6916 of 2016 & CRIMINAL PETITION No.5924 of 2016 ORDER:

This petition is filed by A.1 to A.4 under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C. No.219 of 2014 pending on the file of XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Hyderabad for the offence under Section 498-A, 406 IPC and Sections 4 & 6 of Dowry Prohibition Act. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner filed Crl.P.M.P.No.6916 of 2016 stating that the parties have entered into compromise and therefore, he prayed to allow the petition and to quash the impugned proceedings.

Both the parties as well as their counsel have signed on the joint memo of compromise annexed to Crl.P.M.P.No.6916 of 2016. A.1 is present in the Court and the other accused are represented by him by way of affidavit. A perusal of the affidavit filed in support of the petition goes to show that the matter was settled between the parties. In view of the amicable settlement of the dispute between the parties and in view of the nature of the proceedings, Crl.P.M.P.No.6916 of 2016 is ordered and the compromise is recorded. Consequent thereto, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the proceedings in C.C. No.219 of 2014 pending on the file of XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Hyderabad are hereby quashed as against the petitioners herein. It is directed that this compromise shall form part of the record.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, filed in this petition shall stand closed. _________________ RAJA ELANGO,J
