Petitioner is working as Motor Vehicle Inspector. He claims promotion to the next higher cadre against the post earmarked to be filled up by the Schedule Tribe category employees in accordance with the principle of reservation for Schedule Tribes. Alleging inaction in considering the request of the petitioner even though the vacancies are available in higher cadre, this Writ Petition is filed.

According to learned counsel for the petitioner, petitioner submitted representation dated 19.06.2018 to the Principal Secretary to Government. But, so far no decision is made. 4.

Having regard to the said submission, without entering into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Principal Secretary to Government, Transport, Roads and Buildings Department, to consider the representation, dated 19.06.2018, of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
