CVNR,J & MSKJ,J WP.21055 of 2016 THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE C.V.NAGARJUNA REDDY & THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE M.S.K.JAI SWAL WRI T PETI TI ON No.21055 of 2016 JUDGMENT: (per Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief: "...to issue an order or direction more particularly in the nature of writ of Habeas Corpus, or any other appropriate writ, directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's husband i.e., detenu "Nakka Poshetti, S/o.Hanmanthu, aged 35 years, R/o.H.No.7-74, Govindpet village of Armoor Mandal, Nizamabad District, who is now lodged in Central Prison, Cherlapally, Ranga Reddy District" by setting aside the order of detention passed by respondent No.2 in Proceedings No.E2/329/PD/2015, dated 30.10.2015 and confirmed by respondent No.1 in G.O.Rt.No.142, General Administration (Law & Order) Department, dated 21.01.2016."
Sri K.Venumadhav, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that as the period of the detention is completed, the detenu was released, and therefore, the cause in this writ petition does not survive. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel to dismissal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.25822 of 2016 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
