THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M. SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION No.9727 OF 2018 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short 'Code'), is filed by the petitioners - accused Nos.1 to 8 viz., Pulipati Sureshbabu, Pulipati Kalavathi, Pulipati Mahesh, Kochena Nageswar Rao, Nakala Srinu alias Lanka Srinu, Nathala Barathamma, Laxmi Jaladi and Kochera Maria, respectively, seeking to quash the proceedings against them in Crime/FIR No.78 of 2018 dated 09.04.2018 on the file of Nagram Police Station, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 323 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short 'IPC') and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

2. Sri L. Srinivasu, learned counsel for the petitioners, after arguing the matter for sometime, requested this Court to direct the trial Court to follow the guidelines formulated by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma v. State of U.P.1

3. Acceding to the request of the learned counsel for the petitioners, without touching the merits, I find that it is a fit case to issue direction to the Court concerned to follow the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma1. Accordingly, the Court concerned is directed to adhere to the guidelines issued in Rajesh Sharma1. 1 2017 (2) ALT (Crl.) 393 (SC)

4. With the above direction, the present Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the Criminal Petition, stand closed.
