HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 32899 of 2018 ORDER:

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not issuing orders for making entry of the name of the petitioner in the Re-settlement Register and other revenue records, in respect of the land admeasuring Ac.0.13 cents in Survey No. 254/ 2 of Kothapalli Panchayat, Modamidipalli Village, Proddatur Mandal, YSR Kadapa district and deleting the same from the prohibited properties list furnished to the 4th respondent under Section 22-A (1) of the Registration Act and consequently direct the 4th respondent to register any document in respect of the said land. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner mainly submits that though the petitioner has submitted an application on 20.02.2018, under Sections 3 and 4 of the A.P. Dotted Lands (Updation in Re-settlement Register) Act, 2017, for updating his name in the pattadar pass books, the said application is not disposed of till date.

The learned Government Pleader for Revenue would submit that subsequent to the application made by the petitioner, Form-III notice came to be issued, and

subsequently Form VI and Form VII notices will be issued by the authorities, and if reasonable time is given, the entire exercise will be completed.

It is, no doubt, true that as per the provisions of the A.P. Dotted Lands (Updation in Re-settlement Register) Act, 2017, the process of updation shall be completed within a period of six months from the date of making application. At this stage, the learned Government Pleader would submit that if four to six weeks time is granted, the respondents will complete the exercise.

Recording the above statement, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, directing the 2nd respondent-Committee headed by the District Collector, YSR Kadapa district, to deal with the application made by the petitioner and pass final orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of four to six weeks from today. 6.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
