THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR AND THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTI CE SHAMEEM AKTHER CRI MI NAL APPEAL No.268 of 2011 JUDGMENT: (per Justice Sanjay Kumar) This appeal under Section 374(2) Cr.P.C. arises out of the judgment dated 01.02.2007 passed by the learned Special Judge for Trial of Cases under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (I Additional Sessions Judge), Khammam, in Sessions Case No.25 of 2001.

It is now brought to our notice by the learned Public Prosecutor, State of Telangana, that the appellant/accused was released on 29.03.2016 after being given the benefit of remission of sentence. In that view of the matter, the appeal no longer survives for consideration on merits and is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed.
