THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE M.GANGA RAO WRI T PETI TI ON No.32916 OF 2018 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice Sanjay Kumar) The petitioner is the unsuccessful applicant in O.A.No.1650 of 2018 on the file of the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal at Hyderabad. Her grievance therein was directed against the Circular Memo dated 09.08.2017 issued by the Engineer-in-Chief (AW), I & CAD Department, Andhra Pradesh. She sought a further direction to the State of Andhra Pradesh to dispose of her appeal dated 09.01.2008. By order dated 16.08.2018, the Tribunal dismissed the O.A. opining that as the appeal was filed only on 09.01.

2008 and seven months had elapsed, there was no reason to hustle the Government to dispose of the appeal as Rule 26 of the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, permits a year's time for disposal of such an appeal. Learned Government Pleader for Services would now inform this Court that the appeal is still pending consideration before the appellate authority and seeks 10 days time for its disposal on merits and in accordance with law.

In the light of this statement, the writ petition is disposed of directing the State of Andhra Pradesh to pass final orders on the petitioner's pending appeal within 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
