Heard Sri L.J.Veera Reddy, learned counsel for petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj (AP for respondent No.1 and Sri G.Sheshadri Naidu, learned Special Standing Counsel for respondent No.4.

Prima facie, there is no dispute from the fact that petitioner has been working as Field Assistant since 18.08.2016. However, salary is not being paid to the petitioner. The specific allegation of the petitioner is, on the ground that his name is not reflected in the computer records, his salary is not paid. 3.

On instructions, learned special standing counsel also states that only because no entry was made in the computer records on his reinstatement, salary is not paid. Thus, for no fault of petitioner, even though work was extracted from him for more than nine months, salary is not paid. Such action of the respondents amount to illegal exercise of power and authority. 4.

Respondents are directed to pay arrears of salary to the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Failing to pay the arrears of salary within the time as directed, respondents shall pay interest @ 8% p.a., from the date of delay till the date of payment. Petitioner shall be continued to pay the salary as and when his services are utilized.

Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
