Petitioners in this writ petition, are seeking for a direction to the 1st respondent - State of Telangana, represented by its Principal Secretary, Home Department, to pay compensation to them, for the alleged illegal prosecution.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Petitioners have efficacious alternative remedy for claiming compensation and if they so choose, can do the same. As such, this court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed.

Interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
