HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.K. JAISWAL CRIMINAL PETITION No. 7884 of 2015 ORDER:

The petitioners who are A1 and A2 in Crime No. 96/2015-16 on the file of the Prohibition and Excise Station, Chevella filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail in the event of their arrest in connection with the aforesaid crime registered for the offences punishable under Section 27(1) of the AP Excise Act.

Heard learned Counsel for the petitioners and learned Public Prosecutor for the State.

On 5.6.2015 the Prohibition and Excise officials of Mahaboobnagar District inspected the toddy shop of the petitioners and tested the toddy with prescribed chemicals and found that the toddy was free from adulteration of any chemical. However, they have further drawn the sample in three sealed sample bottles under the cover of Panchanama and sent the same to laboratory for analysis, wherein it was found that the said toddy was adulterated with Alprazolam. Having regard to the same, this Court is not inclined to grant bail. The Criminal Petition is dismissed.
