This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash proceedings initiated against petitioners/accused Nos.8 and 9 in F.I.R. No.35 of 2016 of Y.V.Palem Police Station, Chittoor District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20(1)(c),(iii),(iv) and (x) of A.P. Forest Act, Rule 3 of A.P. Sandal Wood & Red Sanders Transit Rules, 1969, Section 55(1)(2) & 58 of Biological Diversity Act, 2002 and Section 447, 353, 307, 379, 120-B I.P.C. read with Section 34 and 109 I.P.C.

Heard and perused the material available on record. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and also in view of the nature of offences alleged against petitioners/accused are serious in nature, which have to be investigated into by the investigating agency, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the proceedings initiated against the petitioners/accused.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
