V.V. Ravi Kumar Vemu, v. The Union Of India,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO W.P.No.4396 of 2015 O R D E R:
The petitioner herein sought for a writ of mandamus for declaring the action of the respondents in not selecting the petitioner for the post of Junior Assistant (Fire Service) as unjust.
On 25-02-2015 this Court ordered 'notice before admission'. Thereafter, Sri E. Madan Mohan Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation, has taken time not only to secure appropriate instructions, but also to examine the matter in the proper perspective.
Today, Sri E. Madan Mohan Rao has placed a copy of the letter of the Airports Authority of India, dated 20-04-2015 provisionally selecting the petitioner herein as a Junior Assistant (Fire Service) Trainee in Airports Authority of India and that he would be nominated for Basic Training Course at Fire Training Center, New Delhi / Fire Service Training Centre, Kolkata with short notice. The petitioner was required to undergo a medical examination by a Medical Board not below the rank of Civil Surgeon and obtain a Medical Fitness Certificate in the prescribed format enclosed to the order.
In this view of the matter, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for further adjudication and accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of at the admission stage, but however, without costs.
Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, stand disposed of. __________________________ NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO, J.
