The petitioners whose lands were acquired under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, have come up with the present writ petitions challenging the deduction of tax at source in terms of Section 194LA of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

2. Heard Mr. T.L. Krishna Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. K.Raji Reddy, learned Senior Standing Counsel for the respondents.

3. The issue raised in these writ petitions is covered by a decision rendered by this Bench on 13-3-2017 in W.P.No.7874 of 2016 and batch. Therefore, following the same, both these writ petitions are allowed.

The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in these writ petitions shall stand closed. No costs.
