HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.33212 OF 2018 ORDER:

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not removing the un-authorised encroachments from the lands under River Penna at Kallumadi Village, Singanamala Mandal, Ananthapuram District, as illegal and arbitrary. The grievance of the petitioner appears to be that though the respondents are aware about the encroachments made by the encroachers, they are not preventing the same. The learned Government Pleader for Revenue, on instructions, would submit that there are about 87 encroachers and that the respondents are taking steps to evict them and notices were issued to the encroachers on 24.9.2018, asking them to explain as to why they should not be evicted within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of copy of the notice. It is further stated that steps are being taken to disconnect the electricity connection.

In the view of the above, action is now initiated against the encroachers, the grievance of the petitioner, in my view, has been addressed.

With the above observation, the writ petition is closed giving liberty to the petitioner to approach this Court in case there is any further grievance. No order as to costs.

As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, WP.M.Ps if any pending shall stand closed.
