O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioner in this case was as to the alleged inaction on the part of the Tahsildar, Bellamkonda Mandal, Guntur District, in forwarding the

availability and classification (No Objection Certificate) to the Assistant Director of Mines and Geology, Guntur District, as regards the land which is the subject matter of the petitioner's application dated 10.01.2012 for grant of a lease to quarry gravel. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology, relying upon the communications received from the Assistant Director of Mines and Geology, Guntur, and the Divisional Forest Officer, Guntur, informed this Court that the land in question was part of the notified Kandipatu Reserve Forest and that the Divisional Forest Officer recommended to the mining authorities to reject the petitioner's application. The Deputy Director of Mines and Geology, Guntur, was stated to have issued show-cause notice dated 17.04.

2015 to the petitioner in this regard, which was received by him on 05.05.2015. In the light of the aforestated developments, the grievance of the petitioner as to the alleged inaction on the part of the Tahsildar no longer survives for consideration. The writ petition is dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to pursue the matter with the authorities. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
