THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY CRIMINAL PETITION No.4789 of 2017 ORDER:

This petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., by the respondent in Criminal Appeal No.297 of 2016 on the file of the Special Court for SC & ST Cases-cum-VI Additional District Judge, Kurnool, to direct the appellate court to dispose of the Criminal Appeal as early as possible.

At the time of hearing, the only relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner to direct the appellate court to dispose of the appeal in a time-frame. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this court is not inclined to go into the merits of the main case.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Special Judge for Trial of Cases under SC & ST Act-cum-VI Additional District Judge, Kurnool, is directed to dispose of Criminal Appeal No.297 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of seven (7) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions if any pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
