The present writ petition came to be filed seeking the following relief:
" To declare the action of the respondent authorities in trying to cancel the assignment patta without giving any notice and without following the procedure contemplated under Assignment Act 9 of 1977 as amended thereafter, including trying to dispossess the petitioners from the lands, situated in Sy.No.
748/ 106 approximately to an extent of Ac.1-00 gts of Marripalli Village, Vemulawada Rural Mandal, Rajanna Siricilla District, is illegal, void and opposed to Articles 14, 19, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents not to interfere with the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the land in question without following due process of law."

At the time when the matter is taken up, learned Government Pleader would submit that the assignment granted to the petitioner was cancelled in the year 2016 itself, vide proceedings No. E/ 884/ 2014, dated 05.01.2016. 3.
At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that liberty may be given to the petitioner to challenge the
cancellation proceedings, since the petitioner is not aware of the same.

Giving liberty to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings canceling the assignment granted in favour of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. It is needless to mention that the respondents shall communicate a copy of the cancellation proceedings to the petitioner, within a week from today.
