THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO CONTEMPT CASE No.220 OF 2016 ORDER:

Sri P. Sudheer Rao, learned Standing Counsel representing the State Election Commission, produced a copy of notification dated 23.06.2017 issued by the State Election Commission to conduct ordinary elections to Pahadishareef Gram Panchayat of Saroornagar Mandal also by notifying the programme. This notification is in compliance with the undertaking given before this Court based on which the Writ Petition was disposed of. No doubt, there is delay in complying with the directions issued by this Court.

Having regard to the circumstances explained in the notification itself, this Court is not inclined to keep the Contempt Case pending.

Hence, taking note of the notification dated 23.06.2017, the Contempt Case is closed.
