Mr M Subba Rao was working as Assistant Sub Inspector in the State of Andhra Pradesh. He seems to have died while in service. Petitioner has grievance against settlement of terminal benefits in favour of 6th respondent.

As issue concerns settlement of terminal benefits on account of death of employee of the State of Andhra Pradesh, petitioner has to avail the remedy provided before Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal, constituted under Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985. 4.
As held by the Supreme Court in L CHANDRAKUMAR Vs UNION OF INDIA1, the Administrative Tribunal is Court of first instance. 5.
In view of availability of alternative and efficacious remedy, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed, leaving it open to the petitioner to work out remedies provided under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985. No costs.
