HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V. BHATT Writ Petition No.29561 of 2011 ORDER:
The petitioner challenges opening and continuing the rowdy sheet against him by the 4th respondent, as arbitrary and unconstitutional.
2. The rowdy sheet against the petitioner was re-opened on 21.06.2011 up to 31.12.2011. Basing on the written instructions, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, submits that the same was extended up to 31.12.2012. Neither the counsel is in a position to inform further development in the matter. Learned counsel for the petitioner requests the court to dispose of the writ petition as no further order is necessary for the present, however, by granting liberty to the petitioner to assail the continuation of rowdy sheet by filing appropriate case.
3. The statement is placed on record and accepted.
4. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions if any in this writ petition shall stand dismissed in consequence.
