HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.44102 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the official respondents to consider her complaint dated 28.11.2016 and take action in accordance with law.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.
It is stated in the affidavit that when respondents Nos.4 and 5 asked the petitioner to sell her house, she refused and thereafter, respondents Nos.4 to 7 started harassing the petitioner and her family members with a view to cause trouble to them and they also started demolishing the interconnecting underground drainage. The petitioner made a complaint against the above respondents. But the official respondents have not taken any action so far.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction: "The official respondents are directed to register the complaint given by the petitioner, if such complaint discloses any cognizable offence, and proceed in accordance with law. If the official respondents fail to register the complaint, the petitioner is at liberty to invoke the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure to seek her remedy before the appropriate forum."
There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
