ORAL ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj, learned standing counsel for Gram Panchayats and learned standing counsel for State Election Commission. 2.

Petitioners are Ex-Sarpanches of I Pangidi Village, Pasivedala village, Ambapuram Village and Vissannapeta Village Gram Panchayats. The grievance of the petitioners is not conducting elections to the Gram Panchayats but appointing Special Officers to deal with the Gram Panchayat affairs.

When the matter is taken up, learned counsel for both sides would submit that the validity of G O Ms No. 90 dated 1.8.2018 and consequential proceedings were assailed before this Court in W P No. 32346 of 2018 and learned single Judge held that G O Ms No. 90 dated 1.8.2018 was not legal and directed conducting of elections to the Gram Panchayats within three months and agreed for disposal of the writ petition with similar directions.

Having regard to the same, writ petition is disposed of requesting the State Election Commission/third respondent to hold elections to I Pangidi Village, Pasivedala Village, Ambapuram Village and Vissannapeta Village Gram Panchayats within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
