This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 524 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (for short 'BNSS) by the petitioner/ accused No.5 seeking to quash the proceedings against him in FIR No.44O of 2024 before the Khammam I Tou'n Police Station, registered for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 420 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code (for short lPC).

Heard Sri Kiran Kanth Reddy, learned counsel lor the petitioner arrd learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent No. I - State.

Without going into the merits of the case, since the punishment prescribed for the offences alleged against the petitioner is less than seven (07) years, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the petitioner to appear before the Investigating Officer on or before 1O.O 1.2025 between 1 1:00 a'm' and O5:OO p.m. and in turn, the Investigating Officer is directed to follow the procedure laid down under Section 35 (3) of BNSS previously section 4l.A of criminal Procedure code and also the
