Kalsarla Naga Venkata Ramana v. The State Of Andhra Pradesh
THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.8893 of 2015 ORDER:
This criminal petition is filed by the petitioner - Accused No.1 under Section 438 of Criminal Procedure Code seeking to grant bail in Crime No.166 of 2015 on the file of I-Town Police Station (Law & Order), Kakinada, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 384 and 507 IPC and 66 of IT Act.
Heard and perused the material available on record. The allegation against the petitioner is that he threatened the de facto complainant, who is working as a camp clerk in RDO office, Kakinada, by making phone calls stating that he would publish an article regarding corruption against RDO and the staff of RDO office in a monthly journal and asked the de facto complainant to inform the same to the RDO and arrange for an amount of Rs.5,00,000/-. Learned Public Prosecutor raised objection for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner on the ground that the investigation is yet to be completed.
Since the allegations against the petitioner are so serious in nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. ______________ RAJA ELANGO, J September 07, 2015.
