Heard learned Counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader.

The Memorandum of the Director of Handlooms and Textiles, Andhra Pradesh, Mangalagiri, Amaravathi, issued vide Rc.No.3702/2018-E1, dated 16.08.2018, instructing the Assistant Director, Handlooms & Textiles, Ongole, to take necessary action on the shifting of the Office from Ongole to Chirala, Netha Bazar, Prakasham District, is under challenge in the present Writ Petition.

It is submitted by the learned Counsel for the petitioners that if the proposed shifting is permitted, the petitioners and other weavers will have suffer irreparable loss and hardship. It is also stated in the Writ affidavit that at the instance of the representative of the local people, the impugned action is sought to be resorted to.

On the other hand, it is submitted by the learned Government Pleader that in the absence of any statutory violation and violation of the provisions of the Constitution, the Writ Petition cannot be maintained before this Court.

Except stating with regard to the inconvenience likely to be suffered, no statutory violation is brought to the notice of this Court. It is also to be noted that even though it is stated in the affidavit that the present impugned action is resorted to on the

request of the representative of the local people, the said representative is not shown as party to the Writ Petition. 6.

In view of the above reasons and as the impugned action is a part of the policy decision, this Court, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is not inclined to entertain the present Writ Petition. The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
