Husband of the petitioner while working as Clerk in the office of the third

respondent died on 24.5.2013 leaving behind petitioner and her daughter. On 3.8.2015 petitioner submitted representation to provide appointment on compassionate grounds due to the death of her husband while in service. Grievance of the petitioner necessitating institution of this writ petition is that though an application is filed on 3.8.2015, so far no orders are passed and appointment is not provided.

2. When the matter is taken up, learned standing counsel fairly submitted that since application is submitted by the petitioner for compassionate appointment, writ petition can be disposed of with direction to pass orders on the representation. Having regard to the said submission the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 3.8.2015 addressed to the Chairman and Managing Director regarding provision of compassionate appointment and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs. Having regard to the same, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
