All these Election Petitions are in relation to the Lok Sabha Elections held in the year 2014.

Though this Court, by order dated 26.11.2018, directed that the draft issues be filed before 03.12.2018, the same was not complied with. Thereafter, when the matter was listed on 17.12.2018, this Court directed that both the learned counsel for the parties shall make an effort to arrive at common triable issues, after taking into consideration all the materials that have been placed by the respective parties on record. Thereafter, the matter was listed on 24.12.2018, 25.10.2019 and 01.10.2019. However, no progress was reported. When the matter was listed on 08.11.

2019, the learned counsel for the petitioners reported that inspite of giving intimation to their clients through phone, they had not responded, and, accordingly, they sought time to send registered notice to their respective clients and to ascertain whether they are interested in prosecuting the E.Ps. Today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submit that inspite of their best efforts, the petitioners are not responding. In those circumstances, they have no other option except to report to this Court that the petitioners appear to be not interested in prosecuting the Election Petitions. The learned counsel for the respondents are present and report ready all through.

Having regard to the facts narrated above, and considering the fact that fresh elections were conducted in the year 2019 and

CKR,J E.P.No.24 of 2014&batch the term of the elected party respondents has already expired, it is presumed that the petitioners are no longer interested in prosecuting the Election Petitions.

Accordingly, all these Election Petitions are dismissed for non-prosecution. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. __________________________ CHALLA KODANDA RAM, J Date: 06.12.2019 JSU
