Father of the petitioner while working as leading fireman in the Fire Station, Chevella, died on 02.11.2015. Petitioner being his son made an application on 15.02.2016 to provide appointment on compassionate grounds. Alleging that so far employment is not provided, even though he is entitled and his family is in destitute circumstances, this writ petition is filed.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government pleader represents that since an application is made and the same is pending consideration, the writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to pass orders on the said application within a fixed time frame.

Having regard to the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Director General, Fire Services, 1st floor BRKR Bhavan, Hyderabad (2nd respondent) to pass orders on the application submitted by the petitioner by assigning reasons in support of his decision and communicate the same to the petitioner. A decision to this effect shall be taken and communicated to the petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
