THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.7533 of 2015 ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed by the petitioner - Accused No.1 under Section 438 of Criminal Procedure Code, seeking to grant bail in Crime No.19 of 2015 on the file of Nampally Police Station, Hyderabad, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 307 read with 120-B IPC, read with 4 and 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The allegation against the petitioner is that he used to harass the de facto complainant, who is his wife by demanding additional dowry. The earlier bail application filed by the petitioner was dismissed by this Court on 30.03.2015, with a direction to the petitioner to appear before the Court concerned and move an application seeking regular with a further direction to the Court below to deal with the said application on merits in accordance with law, either on the same day or at the earliest. Thereafter, the petitioner approached the Apex Court by way of filing Special Leave Appeal (Crl.) No.4381 of 2015 and the Apex Court dismissed the said Appeal by order, dated 27.07.2015. In view of the above, this Court is of the view that since this Court has already directed the petitioner to approach the Court concerned and file an application seeking regular bail, no orders need be passed in this criminal petition. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
