HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO WRIT PETITION No.18480 OF 2010 ORDER:
The petitioners seek writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent in deducting the crop insurance premium from the released or to be released crop loans of the petitioners at the rate of 1% to 12.5% towards crop insurance premium in the Kharif and Rabi seasons 2010-2011 as illegal, arbitrary and in violation of provisions of Constitution of India and Contract Act and declare the same as optional to the petitioners.

When the matter is called, learned counsel for petitioners as well as learned counsel for the respondent submits that the subject matter in the writ petition has become infructuous since the relief sought for in the present writ petition is pertaining to the crop period for the years 2010-2011, which was over long back.

Recording the said submission, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
