THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S. RAMACHANDRA RAO WRIT PETITION No.8216 of 2016 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed alleging that 2nd respondent is not receiving for registration from the petitioner a settlement deed dt.18-11-2015 for the purpose of registration and is not assigning any reason for not receiving and registering the said document.

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents states that 2nd respondent will receive the document produced by petitioner for the purpose of registration and if for some reason, he does not wish to register it, he will pass a reasoned order under Section 70(1) of the Registration Act, within four weeks from the date of submission of the said document before him and communicate his decision to petitioner

3. In view of the said submission, the 2nd respondent is directed to receive the document submitted by petitioner for registration, if the same is presented before him within two (02) weeks from today, and if the 2nd respondent

does not wish to register the said document, he shall pass a reasoned order under Section 71 of the Act setting out the reasons why he does not want to register the said document and communicate it to the petitioner within four

(04) weeks from the date of submission of the said document by petitioner.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.

5. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
