Heard.

This writ petition is directed against the order of cancellation of licence of the petitioner with respect to A4 shop situated at premises bearing H.No.1-92, Kohir Village and Mandal, Medak District. The said licence appears to have been cancelled on the ground that 11 cartons of non-duty paid liquor were recovered from the shop of the petitioner. The petitioner submits that he has given a detailed reply to the show-cause notice, but the same is not considered. Since the order of cancellation is a non-speaking order, instead of approaching the appellate authority, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

Since the order impugned is clearly appealable, the grievance of the petitioner can as well be made before the appellate authority and in view of availability of efficacious alternative remedy available, it is not proper to exercise jurisdiction of this Court. The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the appellate authority, if he is aggrieved by the order of cancellation, and request for early disposal of the appeal. If such a request is made, the appellate authority shall hear and dispose of the appeal expeditiously.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs.

The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
