ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner/accused seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.119 of 2016 of Falaknuma Police Station, Hyderabad City, registered for the offence punishable under Section 306 IPC, against him. 2.

It is alleged in the complaint that since a criminal case is pending against the de facto complainant on the complaint made by the accused herein, the police were threatening him to book a case under PD Act as he was a rowdy sheeter of Bahadurpura, and after knowing the same, his wife, by name Tabassum @ Farhana Begum, went into mental depression and committed suicide by pouring kerosene on her body and set ablaze. Based on the complaint, the aforesaid crime was registered against the accused.

3. In view of the serious allegations made in the complaint, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the concerned police are directed to complete the investigation without arresting the petitioner/accused and file a final report, if any, in accordance with law. The petitioner herein is directed to appear before the investigating agency as and when required and cooperate with the investigating agency.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this petition shall stand closed.
