Nalluri Rambabu, v. The State Of Telengana,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRI T PETI TI ON No.20680 OF 2017 ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home for the State of Telangana. With their consent, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2.
The present Writ Petition came to be filed with the following prayer:
"...to issue a writ, order or direction, more particularly, one in the nature of writ of Mandamus, declaring the actions of respondent No.2 in calling the petitioner to the Police Station without giving any particulars as to why petitioner presence is required, is arbitrary and without authority of law and consequently direct the respondents not to call the petitioner to the police station without due process of law."
3.
Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent not to call the petitioner to the police station and not to insist his presence without any crime being registered against him.
4.
Learned Government Pleader submits that respondents police never called the petitioner to the police station and that any action to be taken by the respondents will only be in accordance with law.
5.
Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent, not to call the petitioner to the police station and not to insist for his presence, except in accordance with law.
Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs. _______________________ JUSTI CE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR Date:23.06.2017 INL
