ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioners/A2 to A4 seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.579 of 2015 of Women Police Station, DD, Hyderabad, registered for the offence punishable under Section 498-A IPC and under Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, against them.

2. It is alleged in the complaint that the marriage of A1 with the de facto complainant was performed on 15.04.2015 at Victory Garden, Hyderabad. Since the date of marriage, A1 at the instigation of A2 to A4, subjected her to cruelty and harassed her mentally and physically by demanding additional dowry. Based on the complaint, the aforesaid crime was registered against the accused.

3. In view of the serious allegations made in the complaint, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the concerned police are directed to complete the investigation without arresting the petitioners/A2 to A4 and file a final report, if any, in accordance with law. The petitioners herein are directed to appear before the investigating agency as and when required and cooperate with the investigating agency.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition

shall stand closed.
