This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to quash the proceedings in Crime No.42 of 2017 of Arundelpet Police Station, Guntur Urban District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 457 and 380 IPC, on various grounds. Learned Government Pleader for Home reported that charge sheet is not yet filed and that the investigation is in the mid way. Learned counsel for the petitioner informed that an interim direction was issued on 27.03.2017 by this Court not to arrest the petitioner while permitting the Investigating Officer to complete the investigation in Crime No.42 of 2017. Based on the said interim direction, learned counsel for the petitioner requested the Court to continue the same direction and dispose of the writ petition without adverting to the other merits of the case. In view of the request made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction not to arrest the petitioner till filing of the charge sheet. No costs.

Pending miscellaneous petitions in the petition, if any, shall stand closed.
