Husband of the petitioner retired from service on attaining the age of superanuuation on 31.05.2015 and worked as Joint Director. After retirement he died on 18.10.2015. On 23.09.2016 petitioner applied for commutation of pension. Alleging inaction on the said representation, this writ petition is filed. 3.

Since the claim of the petitioner for grant of commutation of pension is yet to be considered, I deem it proper to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Director General of Police, Government of Telangana (2nd respondent) to examine the claim of the petitioner for commutation of pension and to pass orders, as warranted by law. A decision to this extent shall be taken and communicated to the petitioner within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
