THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE DR JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER Writ Appeal No.630 of 2014 JUDGMENT: {Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan} In terms of the order of the Learned Single Judge, the respondentwrit petitioners were held entitled to complete their course in accordance with the relevant provisions of law; it was made clear that the order would not confer any right upon the respective institutions to admit the candidates for any other academic year, unless specific approval was accorded by the Council; and that the degree conferred upon the respondent-writ petitioners shall be recognised by all the agencies including the Central Council of Indian Medicine. This order was passed by the Learned Single Judge, in a batch of writ petitions, on 20.12.2012.

More than four years have since elapsed, and all the respondent-writ petitioners must have completed their BAMS course by now. We see no reason therefore to examine the matter on merits. Suffice it to observe that the question of law, which arises for consideration in this appeal, is left open to be adjudicated in an appropriate case.

The Writ Appeal fails and is, accordingly, dismissed. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
