THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO Crl.R.C.M.P.No.2547 of 2015 and Criminal Revision Case No.1922 of 2015 ORDER:

The petitioner filed this Criminal Revision Case by invoking the provisions under Sections 397 and 401 of the Criminal Procedure Code being aggrieved by the order dated 10-03-2014 passed in Crl.M.P. No.609 of 2013 in C.C.No.65 of 2014 by the I Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases-cum-V Additional Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad, wherein and whereby the learned Magistrate dismissed the discharge application filed by the petitioner - accused. Along with the Criminal Revision Case, the petitioner filed the Crl.R.C.M.P. No.2547 of 2015 to condone the delay in filing the Crl.R.C. The learned Special Public Prosecutor submitted that he has no objection for condoning the delay. Accordingly, the delay in filing the Crl.R.C. is condoned.

The learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing for some time, confined his argument to the prayer to direct the trial Court to conclude the trial expeditiously on the ground that the petitioner is suffering from old-age ailments.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the old-age ailments of the petitioner, the Criminal Revision Case is disposed of directing the trial Court to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

Miscellaneous petitions pending in this revision, if any, shall stand closed.
