K. Madhav Rao v. Sri G. Raghuma Reddy And 3 Others
HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO CONTEMPT CASE NO.2581 OF 2018
O R D E R
Heard both sides.
2.
The petitioner's grievance is that the respondents in the Contempt Case are not receiving Rs.10 coins towards consumption charges in spite of the order dt.24.07.2018 in I.A.No.1 of 2018 in W.P.No.25456 of 2018.
3.
It is the contention of respondents 1 to 4 that they have addressed a letter dt.04.08.2018 to the 5th respondent Bank to accept payment inR.10 coins of electricity charges remitted by respondents 1 to 4 to the said Bank.
4.
The counsel for the 5th respondent Bank has filed a counter that they never refused to receive deposits in denomination of Rs.10 coins towards consumption charges payable to respondents 1 to 4 and with a malafide intention, respondents 1 to 4 are making false allegations against the 5th respondent Bank.
5.
Therefore, the Contempt Case is disposed of directing respondents 1 to 4 to receive Rs.10 coins paid by the petitioner towards electricity consumption charges and respondents 1 to 4 shall remit the same to their account in the 5th respondent Bank which shall receive the said coins without demur since they are legal tender as and
when such deposit is offered by respondents 1 to 4 with the 5th respondent. No costs.
