Petitioner retired from service on 31.01.2012 as driver. According to the petitioner he is enrolled under Staff Retirement Benefit Scheme (SRBS) and was contributing the amount to the Scheme, while he was in service. After his retirement neither monthly pension was paid nor consolidated amount was paid to the petitioner. The request made by the petitioner with reference to the claim is not acted upon and on account of his retirement petitioner was subjected to lot of hardship and suffering because of the inaction on the part of 4th respondent.

Since a claim was made on 12.06.2013 and reminder on 01.10.2016, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition and keep the writ petition pending.

At this stage, it would suffice if the writ petition is disposed of, directing the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, as warranted by law, by assigning due reasons in support of his decision and communicate the same to the petitioner. A decision to this effect shall be made within a period of four (4) weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be o order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
